Yep - those of a keen observation may have noticed a slight paucity of updates of late. This isn't 'cause we're not up to much - we are, but we've pretty much transferred most of our online efforts to Facebook - check us out at facebook.com/IntrepidESU!

Saves everyone standing around waiting when we meet at the Scout HQ at... ...Yep - 8 in the morning... ... ◦ Warm clothes underneath drill top ...The cost of the evening's pizza / pasta is in the £20 that you should have paid by now, along with the cost of the tickets for the Pleasure Beach. We'll be back around 10pm... ...which does mean that there is no Explorers tomorrow evening!

It's fair to say that the wheels of our organisational abilities don't always run as quickly as people would like. However, we are like lightening compared to the Six Dales people! They've now sent through the official results for Six Dales, so here goes: ...First Place - Intrepid ESU Team One ...First Place - Intrepid ESU Team Three ...Second Place - Intrepid ESU Team Two ...Team Two missed out on the Novice Trophy by 2 minutes. Team One was fifth in the Novice Trophy. Team Three was second overall, Team Two was seventh, and Team One was Eleventh.

Uniform will be need for all of the Scout HQ based activities, with the exception of the Christmas Party, which will have a fancy dress theme of Christmas Fairies and Father Christmases...

Six Dales Results

Hopefully everyone's now caught up on sleep after Six Dales, though there's probably still some hobbling going on! It was an amazing effort by all involved - massive kudos to you all! The final* results were as follows: ...Won the Female 13-19 Trophy! ...Missed winning the Novice Trophy by 2 minutes after 11 hours walking... Again - congratulations to all of you. Those of us that were there could see the real pain that many of you were in at the end - you all showed guts, determination, and a real team spirit. We won both of the Explorer Trophies and were SO close to picking up three trophies with three teams. ...(*These are my final results and mileages - as soon as the Six Dales organisers post the official results I'll update the website)

The plan for tomorrow is as follows. ...The Blister Crew are at HQ at normal time (8:15 - 10:15) with their Six Dales stuff. We'll be sorting out route cards, team equipment, and a whole bunch of other stuff, so you need to be there! ...Those that have (sensibly) decided that they don't want to spend the next week looking somewhat crippled are at Earlswood for a Wide Game. We're meeting there at 7:30, and you'll need to be collected at 9:30. The car park's location should be shown in the nice Googly map below!

We've finally found some time to actually write the letter about Summer Camp! And it's now in the Documents section - go and have a look, particularly for details of our plans for our first ever go at Zorbing! (And hydro Zorbing at that - if you're going to do something, you might as well get soaked doing it is our motto!)

We're off to Blackpool on Thursday, land of sofistikation, land of cult-ure, and big rollacoasters... ...and travelling up to Blackpool in the minibus. Once we're at Blackpool - you can do what you want... We suggest that you may want to check out the Pleasure Beach - a pre-booked unlimited ticket is £25. Or you may wish to take some stuff for the beach - it looks like Thursday's going to be a cracking day weather-wise! It's up to you... What you will need, though, is some food or cash for food. And you will need to book your place online - it's first-come, first-served. ...
